Dear Governor Lujan Grisham, We are reaching out to share our hopes around the planning for the future of this tremendous historic resource.
We know Senator Sedillo-Lopez and Representative Anaya are also deeply interested in its future.
Mayor Keller, Councilor Rogers, we are looping you in, knowing your concern.

Our association is deeply grateful that the congregation donated this iconic place and that the state accepted it.
We urge you to identify uses for the space that will enhance the cultural life of the neighboring community.

We note that the building is a major work by John Gaw Meem and would be a proper place to educate people about his life and work, along the lines of the Georgia O’Keefe Museum.

We note a dearth of performance space in the area. The sanctuary seats 500 and is known for its terrific acoustics.

We note that arts and culture groups, many of whom serve youth, constantly need space for their work.

We earnestly hope you will take advantage of this once-in-a generation opportunity to use this gift to enhance the cultural life of our community and region.

Kind regards,

Gary Eyster, President
