I know many of us share an interest in preserving the character of our local main street, and therefore thought you might find this wonderful, albeit at a state level: This year, through a partnership with the National Trust for Historic Preservation and National Geographic, American Express is disbursing $2 million towards the preservation of Main Streets across the US. Unfortunately, ABQ isn't in the running this year, but Las Vegas NM is on the list. The fund are based on votes received, and so if you want to lend your support to our neighbors in the north go here to cast your ballot:
