Next week APD will be helping a Nob Hill block start a neighborhood watch program.

If you are thinking of starting one for you block you are invited to come see how.

Here is the announcement. Reply with questions or call Gary at 991-1388.

On Tuesday, October 16, 2018 the Albuquerque Police Department will present a Neighborhood Watch Meeting for the 300 block of Amherst Dr NE, organized by Michael McDonald, Rocky Nogales, and Gary Eyster.  The meeting will begin at 6 pm in front of Michael’s house, 325 Amherst Dr. NE.

We are asking all neighbors in the 300 block to attend this meeting.  If you have a friend nearby they are welcome to come and learn so they can pursue a neighborhood watch for their block. We will discuss crime problems existing in your neighborhood along with ways to make your home safer.  The presenter will be Laura Kuehn, Albuquerque Police Department Crime Prevention Specialist.

Please mark this important date on your calendar.  We only require one hour of your valuable time to provide this important information.  The Albuquerque Police Department understands that only with your help, as our eyes and ears in the community, will we reduce crime in the city.

The hosts will provide refreshments. If you have any questions prior to that evening you may reach Laura at 256-2050 or Gary at 991-1388.  We look forward to working with you to make your neighborhood a safer place.

Respectfully,

Commander J.J. Griego
