Just in time for Spring Break, the historic Los Altos Pool is back open, and with some really great new renovations and features! The pool area is much larger with more ADA accessibility, more deck space for swim lessons and meets, larger locker rooms and showers, free Wi-Fi, and even a multipurpose room for community events! District 5 Open House with City Councilor Cynthia Borrego

Public Meeting Hosted by Short-Term Rental Task Force Next Week

The public is invited to attend a meeting hosted by the Short-Term Rental Task Force on Tuesday, March 19, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., at the Realtor Building, Greater Albuquerque Association of Realtors, 1635 University NE. The meeting will provide an opportunity for the Task Force to get input on regulation, registration, and administration of short-term rentals in Albuquerque. Daylight Savings a Reminder to Change the Clock and Check for Safety!

This past Sunday, March 10, was the start of Daylight Savings Time, so if your clock didn’t automatically spring forward, remember to bump it up one hour. It’s also a good time to change out batteries on your smoke alarm and carbon monoxide monitors. Apply to Serve on the Police Oversight Board!

The Police Oversight Board is a 9-member board that provides policy guidance for, and civilian oversight of, the Albuquerque Police Department. Members are appointed to 3-year terms and are eligible to reappointed for an additional term. Any person residing within the City of Albuquerque may submit an application. Qualified applicants are placed into a pool of candidates available for future appointment when vacancies occur. Council Adds Appeals Resources to Website

In order to help the public track the dates associated with appeals of land use decision that they may be interested in, the City Council has added a page to its website. Parties that are part of an appeal will still be noticed formally through the Planning Department. The page lists the title of each appeal and the associated dates. The page can be accessed at:
