South Valley Pride Day Invites Community To Celebrate!

The public is cordially invited to join in South Valley Pride Day on Sunday, April 28, 12:00 noon – 6:00 p.m. There will be a parade starting at 11:00 a.m., and fun events such as a car show, food trucks, kid events, vendors, artisans, and the live music of Chevel Shepherd! Green Waste Pickup Starting Monday, April 29

On Monday, April 29th, the City of Albuquerque Solid Waste Management Department’s (SWMD) Spring green waste collection begins and will run through Friday, May 10th. SWMD will pick up residential green waste at no additional charge. Solid Waste customers should have their green waste at the curb by 7 a.m. on their regular trash collection day. All green waste must be placed 5 feet from trash and recycling containers as well as any large items scheduled for pick-up.  To learn more about Green Waste pickup, visit: www.cabq.gov/solidwaste

Coffee with a Cop Invites Public to Meet Officers

The Southeast Area Command, in conjunction with Nob Hill Main Street and Albuquerque Crime Stoppers, will host "Coffee With A Cop" this Friday, April 26, 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., Satellite Coffee, 2300 Central SE. This is a great opportunity to enjoy some great coffee, meet your Area Command officers, including the Problem Response Team, learn about Crimestoppers, and get information about the ScanNetwork. Free Bus and Sun Van Rides All Day!

Today, Monday, April 22 is Earth Day, and ABQ RIDE is offering FREE bus and Sun Van rides all day! Commuter bus use reduces traffic congestion, air pollution and carbon emissions, plus it saves money and parking aggravation. ABQ RIDE marketing staff will also be riding city buses that day, asking riders to take a transit survey and giving away promotional t-shirts.
