Thanks for forwarding this. I will be a participant and have done this terrific event in previous years. Typically, there will be several hundred bicycle riders proceeding slowly up Central with several sidesteps to Gold and Silver as all the riders pass by locations where over a dozen officers have lost their lives in the line of duty over the past 15 years. It’s a very sobering reminder of how dangerous that job is and how selfless the best of our police are. Many riders will actually continue beyond Tijeras and do the full tough ride up the Turquoise Trail to the main SFPD offices. It’s a great memorial and fundraiser. I hope many of you can take a moment to participate along Central tomorrow morning.

The City of Albuquerque, Albuquerque Police Department Chaplain’s Unit, are conducting the 2019 NMLE Memorial Ride.  This event will take place Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 8 AM to 10 AM starting at 4th and Roma and ending at the Dep. James McGrane East Area Command Center in the Village of Tijeras.
