Swarm Season is Here and Bees are House Hunting in ‘Burque!
If you’ve ever had a swarm of bees during April and May, it’s not surprising because these months are prime bee swarm season in Albuquerque. With Albuquerque designated as a Bee City USA affiliate back in 2016, we encourage residents to learn more about these vital parts of our planet and help them thrive. After all, their pollination is responsible for every third bite of food we eat so let’s keep them safe. Neighborly Tip of the Week
Are there senior citizens in your neighborhood? Why not get to know them and see if there’s anything you can do to help them? Seniors often have mobility issues or may not have dependable transportation, so offer to help pull weeds, take their trash to the curb on collection day, take them to the grocery store, or even just leave them a note with your telephone number. Sometimes knowing there is someone to call is all the help folks need!
