Summer Camp Suncat Skilled Trades June 17-21, 2019
CNM is looking for 7th and 8th grade students who want to put their brains and hands to work at a one week summer camp. Students will learn design, fabrication, green building techniques, STEM-based technical math and professional skills all while building a club house. Students will get to hear from industry professionals during lunch breaks and learn why these skills will be in high demand in our community over the next few years.
An awards ceremony will wrap up the week where students will showcase their handy work by unveiling the club house. The club house will be donated to a community organization upon completion.
This project partially funded by the National Science Foundation’s New Mexico Green Grant #A16-0443.
