2020 Census Goes Live In March
Next month the Census goes live. Take time to learn how important the Census is to you and your community. For every New Mexican counted, the state receives $3,745 each year for the next 10 years in federal dollars. This money is used to support schools, hospitals, roads, emergency services, etc. Even a 1% undercount costs New Mexico $78,630,020 each year. Sí Se Puede Awards Seeking Nominations for 2020
The Recuerda a César Chávez Committee (RCCC) are accepting nominations for the 15th Annual César E. Chávez and Dolores Huerta Sí Se Puede Award. These awards are presented to two individuals who have exemplified the ideals of César E. Chávez and Dolores Huerta by making meaningful contributions to our communities through leadership, service, and education. Explora Hosts Teen Night 2020 This Friday!
Leap into 2020 Teen Night at Explora with friends, food, and fun! The City of Albuquerque’s Youth Connect and Explora have teamed up to provide teens aged 12-19 with an evening planned just for them! Along with FREE entry into the museum, there will also be games, origami, a ping pong ball explosion, and door prizes! Come check it out on Friday, February 28 from 6:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.! ONC Seeks Neighborhood Images for Photo Project
The Office of Neighborhood Coordination (ONC) needs your help! We are seeking neighborhood images going back 10 years that showcase members, events, landmarks, and locations that positively showcase your neighborhood. Images should be in JPEG or PNG formats only, should not exceed 1500 pixels and be as high-resolution as possible. Please e-mail these images to vanessabaca@cabq.gov no later than Monday, March 9.
