[NMCCSC] 16 trees removed from 10K N Trail, Sun., 12-8-19

Hello Skiers,

On Sunday, Dec., 8, Michael Arndt and Sam Beard removed 16 down trees from the first mile of 10K North Trail with a chain saw.

The largest diameter was about 18 inches.

We were in snow showers while we were on the trail. The temperature was about 30 F. We saw only 6 people on the trail, and two of these hikers were using snowshoes.

We found about 8 inches of new snow.

When we left after lunch, the Crest Highway had not been plowed.
