Hello Skiers,
On Saturday, December 14, I will lead a Class I tour in the Sandia Mountains beginning at 10K South Trailhead and skiing easy trails up the mountain toward Ellis Trailhead. We will ski the Kerry's and Sam's routes parallel to the highway about one-half mile and also ski in the meadows known as the Old Road Clearing.
The distance will be about 2 miles, and the elevation change will be up to 300 feet. This is not a beginning class. It is an easy tour for skiers who have had a beginning class or at least a little experience on easy trails.
Dress warmly and bring cross country ski equipment, snacks, drinks, and lunch. We will return to Albuquerque by mid-afternoon.
Meet in the southwest corner of the Smith's parking lot at Central and Tramway at 9 am. We will carpool.
Please contact me at 505-828-0673 if you have questions.
Sam Beard
