Hi all,
I was up on the crest today to ski and it was just great. Arrived at Ellis
TH about 9 am-the road was snow packed in many places but I did not have
any issues. When I arrived the upper TH parking lot was empty and the
parking lot road had been well plowed-temp was 19 degrees and no wind. I
skied Rocky Point, Gravel Pit TR, Switchback, Survey and Buried Cable-all
were in great shape; no ice, plenty of depth and good snow. In some spots
the wind from last night or yesterday had blown snow over the trail
completely covering it so I had to rely on the blue markers to stay on it.
Very few people there, a couple of other XC and a few snow shoe people,
plus a bunch of boarders on gravel pit. I left a bit before noon and at
that point both the TH parking lots were completely full and the road was
full of cars coming up-road was still snow packed to a degree but more
slush than snow. A great morning!

Bob
