I concur. I did the same thing, tram up to ski, but didn't start skiing
until 2pm. Didn't see a soul on Rocky Point and Switchback trails. There was
one couple with snow shoes on the tram ride up but didn't see them or any
other evidence of snow shoes on the (ski) trials.
The only weirdness is they have heavily plowed the service road, I suppose
they do that for emergencies.

The road was closed but the tram was in full operation yesterday. Randy & I
took the tram. I haven't seen that much snow on Sandia for years. The
conditions were beautiful! Was surprised that most of the wooded trails were
untouched. Very few people skiing up there.

The road to Sandia crest is closed, at Cienega Canyon.

Tons of snow, lots of sunshine and no wind. The powder is really in the
trees. The road conditions were a bit iffy going up at 6:30 am, but fine on
the way home. Go while there is snow.
