Oak Flats.  11AM.  Saturday Jan. 5th.
South 14-clear
Oak Flats road-primarily snow packed/plowed; do not need AWD/4WD.
Parking:  close to 40 cars parked on Oak Flats Road
U shape parking:  6 cars; 4WD/AWD needed and a shovel; not plowed
Demographic:  Large groups of friendly people on snowshoes.  Ski club hut group practicing beacons.  Several solo/small groups of X-C skiers.  One dog off leash. 
Trails:  extensive tracking of multiple trails by skis and snowshoes.  2-5 mile loops. 
Weather:  sunny and warm. 40+°F.
Snow: icy at 9:30 AM but nice by 11AM.
