Hello Skiers,

On Sunday, January 20, Ruth Bargman-Romero and Sam Beard will lead a Class I outing to the Redondo Campground area in the Jemez Mountains.

We will ski the Loop Trail shown on the map in the attached Word document, and if we have time we will also ski the Crater Spur Trail that passes two craters. The loop is about 3 miles in length, and the spur trail is about one mile round trip. The elevation change will be less than 100 feet. The trails are very easy, and the downhill segments have moderate grades and are short. If we have a group of slow skiers, Ruth will stay with them.

Dress warmly and bring snacks, drinks, lunch, skis, boots, and poles.

Meet on the west side of the Target store SE of the intersection of I-25N and Paseo del Norte at 8 am. We will car pool to the Jemez Mountains. Please let me know if anyone wants us to meet them at the Home Depot west of Bernalillo at about 8:20 am. We will plan to return to Albuquerque by about 5 pm.
