[NMCCSC] USFS warning about falling trees due to wind today

Hello Skiers,

Please see the warning below from Kerry Wood, Sandia RD Trails and Wilderness Program Manager, about staying out of the forest today with the high winds.

Many trees in the Sandias are weakened and can be dangerous in high winds.

(JHA in the following message means Job Hazards Analysis for any activity on the National Forest)

Hope folks are staying out of the woods today with these winds. It is undoubtedly a “watch-out” situation.
If you are a SRD volunteer, this is not the day to be under the vast number of weakened trees out there. See all applicable JHA’s about overhead hazards. We need you to not be smooshed…. Thanks!
