Hi Skiers! Recent reports of ski conditions in the Sandias have very
nicely included references to coming across trees fallen down on the
trails. The Trails crew of *Friends of Sandia Mtn-* FOSM, in conjunction
with NMCCSC, want to have this information. Whenever I see one of these
references, I forward it on to the FOSM Trails crew since I work with
them.
What general information that is helpful is like- are the trees big/little,
bunched together, approx what distance from a point?, how far in, easy to
get around/not, kindof how many, etc. You could include this in your snow
report ..or.. *send that part directly to me-* bettygendron at gmail.com. I
send it all in any time I see it; I also report from my own hikes.
FOSM's purpose on trails is keeping them safe for any public use. They
work very hard at this, on snowshoes with hand cross-cut saws in the
winter. Thanks to all! Let's enjoy! Bet Gendron
