[NMCCSC] Good conditions in the Jemez

I enjoyed a delightful day of skiing with Tom and Louise Broadbent yesterday. We parked at the Los Griegos trailhead between mile markers 34 & 35, crossed the road and walked east a bit then skied a loop the Broadbents described in an email yesterday, in the East Fork Ski Touring Area (map and description in Sam Beard’s book pg 41). After eating lunch back at our cars we broke trail on the Lower Ladera trail. There has been a lot of clearing higher up from the burn 3 years ago (?) and anyone who skied that trail before the burn won’t recognize the area. The skiing was just delightful as the temperature stayed below freezing. We didn’t see anyone else all day!

I recommend heading out there today! The road from Santa Fe was completely clear.
