One person's misfortune of a sprained ankle is your opportunity to get in on the Fri-Sun Jan 24-26 (2 nights) Spruce Hole yurt trip. Contact me to discuss if you're interested. 5 others are going, room for 1 more. 2 mile ski in.
Happy ski trails,

Yurting is a backpacking-like trip. Compared to staying overnight in a hotel, a yurt trip is more of an adventure. Compared to a hut trip, the trails to the yurt are shorter, flatter, and less technical. A yurt is much more rustic than a hut.
The yurt is moderately insulated, and is heated by a wood stove. Spruce Hole has solar panels and batteries, and is lit by LED lights at night. There is a three-burner propane stove, cooking utensils, paper towels, and dish soap. There is an outhouse and toilet paper. The beds have mattresses and pillows and comforters, but no pillow cases or sheets. Basically you will need to bring clothes, food, and a light sleeping bag.

Subject: [NMCCSC] Beginners yurt trip! Feb 28,29
Skiers,
This is especially for folks who haven’t been to a yurt or hut and would like to give it a try. I’m going to reserve Spruce Hole yurt (Cumbres Pass area, outside of Chama) for 2 nights, either Feb 28&29 (Friday and Saturday nights) or Feb 29&Mar1 (Saturday and Sunday).. This is the last available winter weekend at this wonderful yurt. It’s only 2.5 miles in, so suitable for beginners.
We would leave abq early on the first morning and return in the evening on the day after our last night there.
The yurt accommodates 6 people and the cost would be $50/pers if we have 6 ($300 divided by the # of people) plus shared food & transportation If you are interested and have a preference as to taking Friday or Monday off, please indicate asap. I’ll probably book it early tomorrow morning as this yurt rarely has open weekends.
