Thanks for the report, Max. The grasses have been an issue most times I have skied there. Even with their somewhat regular grooming the grass always makes skiing and waxing problematic. I have asked them about this and apparently their management plan does not allow for mowing their groomed trails.

I drove up to Valles Caldera yesterday to check on snow conditions and found only about 2 inches on the ground, not enough to cover the grasses.  No one had tried skiing the basis.
