Hello Skiers,
On Saturday, February 12, Michael Arndt and I will ski Coyote Call Trail on the Valles Caldera National Trail and remove several down trees with diameters less than 12 inches.
We will be using a Silky Katanaboy 500 saw with aggressive teeth and a blade length of 19 inches. Although this saw cuts rapidly, we will be working at each tree several minutes to cut and move it. We will also have smaller pruning saws to cut limbs.
Meet at 8 am on the west side of the Target store parking lot at I-25 North and Paseo del Norte. Bring lunch, snacks, drinks, and warm work gloves.
We recommend that you bring skins to use in climbing the somewhat steep east segment of this loop trail. We will ski it clockwise.
Please email me if you have questions. samgbeard at msn.com
