Oops, I see that the highway number is officially *#337*, not as previously
stated.  You will hear people refer to this road as 'South14', that would
be an affectionate moniker.  BetG


*Subject: Sunday Oak Flat/Ponderosa Loop*

Today was a perfect day on Oak Flat, off 'South 14'. Ponderosa Loop,
6miles, had excellent snow.  I would think tomorrow would also be a good
day.  Roads are clear.  Always helpful are a scraper, glidewax, and a GPS
app such as GAIA.  A current map of the area, 'Manzanita Mtns', can be
printed from the Sandia Ranger District website- this also shows other fun
trails in the Oak Flat area.  The whole area is pretty, parklike; but low
and susceptible to sun.  My thought is, Hey, this could be it!  Grab it
while we can!
