[NMCCSC] Jemez ski trial work, Sat., April 2

Hello Skiers,

Michael Arndt and I will be removing logs from a couple of ski trails in the Jemez Mountains on Sat., April 2.

We will remove pine branches and a large tree trunk and also take down a 12-inch tree that is leaning on another tree over Ladera Trail on Los Griegos Mountain.

We will then go to the Redondo Campground area and remove one large tree from Crater Spur Trail.

We will find some snow but will probably just walk over it in boots. We will also take snowshoes, but I doubt that we will use them. The hike to each site is less that a quarter mile.

Meet at 8 am on the west side of the Target parking lot at the intersection of Paseo del Norte and I-25 North. We will carpool, and there is room for 3 people in Michael’s truck.

Bring snacks, lunch, and drinks. Dress fairly warmly and bring work gloves, a hard hat, and ear and eye protection. I have extra hard hats. Sun glasses work as eye protection. I have ear plugs.
