Note additional resources on the website. If you click on Instruction on the home page, then choose Beginner, scroll down until you see Resources for Beginners. There are several PDF documents that explain what equipment is used for different skiing styles and environments, terminology, instruction documents, etc. More documents available if you choose Intermediate.

Thanks so much! I attended the Beginner class last year, and it was TERRIFIC! I also attended the great downhill class. And, as a 60 year old starter, my skills were stuck in beginner gear after that. I look forward to going to these classes again, and, it’s clear from my own learning process I need some ongoing private instruction if I have any hope to feel competent sometime this winter. The Ski Club has an outstanding Instruction section, led by Dana Price.  Dana has a schedule for Instruction already set and I'm sure it will meet your needs in learning how to get into our beautiful backcountry effectively and safely.
