[NMCCSC] Seeking Board Member to head NMCCSC Newsletter

Hello Everyone:

The monthly newsletter seems to be missed by the longstanding members of the club. And, new members are asking, Why isn't there a newsletter?

This is an opportunity for a volunteer to create/coordinate a newsletter that would highlight upcoming activities with direct links to the website and to encourage members to contribute articles on a related topic of cross-country skiing.

 Ideas for articles would be:  a recent ski trip with photos, resources for equipment purchases, cross country ski destination ideas, equipment failure DIY resources, emergency repair kit for equipment while on the trail, emergency first aid kit, high altitude illness remedies and ideas for local ski outings that aren't in the Jemez or the Sandias.  Also, car trip ideas and physical conditioning/maintenance in the off season.  The field is wide open here.

If this sounds like something you would like to do, please contact myself or another board member to discuss.

John Dellios of Sandia Nordic Ski Club will be giving a presentation on balance, conditioning and tips on how to improve your cross-country skiing skills.
