Amy and James Mathis here.
We hike in the Sandias today.
Wonderful aspen yellows.
- Parked at 10k parking lot.
- Hiked up on the xc groomed system to Ellis parking lot: be cautious not to tread on bare ground of freshly scalloped xc trail formations, as vegetative re-establishment in-progress).
- from Ellis lot, took Rocky point trail to ski resort
- down the trail that follows Double Eagle ski run, I think
- exited ski run onto double eagle trail (I think)
- emerged / return to 10k parking lot.

Very nice aspen vistas and immersion.
