[NMCCSC] Trail maintenance in Jemez, Friday, Oct. 17

Hello Skiers,

Michael Arndt and I will be leading an outing to perform maintenance on the East Fork East Loop Trail on Friday, October 17.

We always find a few logs on this loop trail. We will park in the Los Griegos wide parking space on the south side of NM-4 a few miles east of Redondo Campground. We will cross the highway and hike up Burn Trail and take a connecting trail over to the saddle at the west end of the East Loop Trail. We will hike around the loop and then along East Fork Ridge to the west to where we have good views of Redondo Peak in a meadow. We follow Burn Trail back to the vehicles.

Meet at 8 am on the west side of the Target parking lot at the intersection of I-25N and Paseo del Norte. We will carpool and caravan to the Jemez Mountains.

Wear long pants, hiking boots, and a long-sleeve shirt. Bring a jacket for cool temperatures, snacks, drinks, lunch, work gloves, ear and eye protection and a hard hat. I will have a few hard hats to loan. We will be using a chain saw.

Please let me know ASAP if you need to borrow a hard hat.
