[NMCCSC] LAST DAY TO COMMENT: Rio Grande NF winter travel plan

Hello skiers,
Sorry I forgot to forward this sooner, but it’s not too late! If you haven’t submitted a comment yet, please do. Help us save Spruce Hole and the other yurts from being overrun by snowmobiles. Ask the Forest Service to select Alternative 4 but modify it to  minimize user conflicts, especially by the removing motorized use of the spruce hole road (FR 108).

Mary Kaye sent an excellent letter on behalf of the Club, but more comments would be helpful, especially sharing your personal experience and why quiet recreation is important to you.

The reading room is here, if you’d like to see the comments that have been submitted. I haven’t read the individual ones, most are from the motorized crowd unfortunately. There are some good letters from conservation organizations like Center for Biological Diversity.

Friendly reminder that the comment period has been extended until 11:59 EST on 8/8/ 

There's a social media post gaining traction from a local snowmobiler so the comment room has been inundated with Alt 3 comments. 

Please continue to reach out to your membership and encourage them that there is still time to submit a substantive comment.
