I want to extend Congratulations to both Sandia Nordic Club and Ruth Bargman-Romero: 

Thank you, Sandia Nordic Club- Scott Dietrich and Jeff Huser- for the superb plowing of the Ellis Trailhead parking lot.  I have never seen it plowed to that width, enabling many more vehicles to park in an orderly, safe, and creative manner to enable the public to enjoy the upper mtn.  Jeff and Scott continuously and safely groomed the Ellis and groomed trails area even in the midst of many skiers, snowshoers, kids, and pets.  

Our own Ruth Bargman-Romero, of NMCCSC, organized and delivered on a snowy morning of Beginners' lessons at the Ellis Trailhead, providing an opportunity for new skiers to work with instructors in a positive and encouraging environment.  These folks now have the basics to move on to more Level1 tours.
