The second race in the Southwest Nordic Race Series is this weekend!   45th Chama Chile Ski Classic & Winter Fiesta January 19-21, 2019, Chama, NM SkiChama.com Register:  NmSportsOnline.com 18K Freestyle Cross Country Ski Race, Saturday, February 19th, 10:30 am.                 Racers in staging are by 10:15 am, SW Nordic Race qualifier Four races in the San Juan Mountain region to crown the King and Queen of Nordic Skiing in the Southwest! The races are in Pagosa Springs, Chama, Telluride and Durango. Other races over the weekend include a 6k Freestyle race,  6K and 12K Classic races, 6K snowshoe race, two combined ski/snowshoe races, 6K and 18K Snow bike races.  There's also Rookie Races for beginners or those wanting a shorter course (1K, 2K or 3K) In addition there are beginner to advanced ski clinics, a costume contest, yurt and ski tours, awards ceremonies, and live music.
