A couple of us took the Tram this morning. The service road has been plowed but a sizable swath on the east side has been left unplowed for skiers. All snow in exposed/used areas is hard. Rocky Pt has had a lot of traffic, is hard snow. Klaus Trail, groomed trails, and the meadow were skiable.
Any snow in the trees, that's IN the trees is just wonderful. We took the northern so-called 'Kerry's and Sam's loops' off the groomed trails and it was fun. Coming south we found an old forest road headed to upper Double Eagle ski area run, put on kickers, then climbed up thru the trees to Rocky Pt, where skins were needed just to navigate. Once on the service road, the east side had just been groomed and was soft.
A movie was being filmed at 10K TH. There was a nice lunch table set out- hmm..! Bet
