Sam Beard and Carl Smith have cancelled the proposed outing to the Coyote Call area on the VCNP for tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 7, due to weather.

The forecast for the VCNP follows

Partly sunny, with a high near 25. Wind chill values as low as -9. West wind around 15 mph.

Due to the forecast wind velocity of 15 mph, there is also the risk of falling dead and decayed trees that were killed in the Las Conchas Fire in 2011.
