Hello Skiers,
On Wednesday, January 1, I will lead a Class I Ski Club outing to the Redondo Campground area where we will ski easy trails with an elevation change of less than 100 feet.
This outing is a tour for skiers who have completed a beginning ski class or have some experience on easy trails. It is not a beginning instruction class; although, I, and probably other experienced skiers, will assist less experienced skiers.
We will park across the highway (NM-4) from the campground in the Jemez Mountains. We will follow mostly old logging roads marked with blue diamonds around the Loop Trail, Two Craters Trail, and Crater Spur Trail. The total distance will
be 2 to 3 miles of skiing in tall ponderosa pine trees.
Bring cross country ski equipment, snacks, drinks, and lunch and dress warmly.
We will meet on the west side of the parking lot at the Target store at the intersection of Paseo del Norte and I-25 North at 8 am and car pool to the Jemez Mountains. I plan to be back in ABQ before 5 pm.
Bring about $15 to help with gasoline expenses, if you plan to ride with another driver.
To help me with planning, please email me if you will be attending.

Also, let me know if you would like to meet us on the
west side of the parking lot at the shed display at the Home Depot west of Bernalillo.
