Hi All: The Sandia Snowshoe Race takes place on Saturday.  There will be Snowshoers on some of the trails above Ellis Parking from about 10-12. We have 175 people signed up.
  The staging area is up at the Crest and most people will park up there. Ellis Parking is usually not affected.
   You can refer to the Sandia Snowshoe website to see a map of the course.
   Although the course is not "closed" you may wish to ski elsewhere during that time frame.
    The course is usually clear by noon.
The snow in the Sandias has been great this year. I hope you've been able to enjoy the excellent conditions.
