In general, unless there is substantial snowfall, the best bet for predictable snow is at or above 10000 feet elevation in our area. You can get it at the oak flat area but it's short lived. Watch the weather and be prepared.

 Only 3 to 4" and lots of scratches over exposed rocks and Earth. 
We did the Ponderosa loop and it was tough conditions but good workout. 
It definitely needs more. There's no base snow.
