Hello! Wondering if anyone has an avalanche transceiver they'd be willing to loan out for the next three days?
Thanks for your consideration!

In general, unless there is substantial snowfall, the best bet for predictable snow is at or above 10000 feet elevation in our area. You can get it at the oak flat area but it's short lived. Watch the weather and be prepared.

We were out there today and I would suggest the Sandias instead.
Only 3 to 4" and lots of scratches over exposed rocks and Earth.
We did the Ponderosa loop and it was tough conditions but good workout.
It definitely needs more. There's no base snow.

I would expect there to be reasonably good snow on Thurs. it’s supposed to warm up after that, so you’d better hurry!

Does anybody have thoughts on whether there’s enough snow to ski Oak flats or not? My guess is no but just curious. Thanks Rita
