Sam,

I skied all the trails off Ellis Network today (Rocky Point, Gravel Pit, lower and upper service roads, Buried Cable and Switchback.

Not a single tree down, which surprised me after all that wind and snow was excellent!

Should be great still tomorrow, and probably Fri, if you go in morning before it gets too warm and sticky.

Hello Skiers,

A friend and I skied Switchback Trail and Kiwanis Meadow Road to the meadow and found no trees down on these trails. There are numerous hang-ups, but they all appeared to be stable. The tracks set by skiers were excellent, and coming down Switchback was fun with the slow snow.

Temperature was 16 F with wind near the Crest.

The Crest Highway was plowed with patches of snow and ice in the shade. No parking lots were plowed, but 4WDs and AWDs were parked in the churned snow at 10K South Trailhead, Ellis TH, and the Crest parking lot.

We saw only two skiers from 2:30 to 4:30. We first met Dean Athow on Switchback as we were going up, and shortly later we met Terri Elisberg.
