All,

Re: Friday Sandia Touring Conditions

I'll add...
Ralph Wrons and I helped Jeff dig out his snowmobile shed yesterday, although we only tossed a token amount of snow. Jeff was busy grooming and setting track when we left about noon.
Kathi and I used violet special kicker wax, which was more than grippy enough for the early day conditions, before afternoon warming.
However, with Albuquerque warming to 55-ish today and nearing 60 Sunday, no-wax skis might be the call this weekend.

Subject: [NMCCSC] Sandia Crest update

Dear group:
Sandia Crest Report.
Road: As of Friday February 14 at 10:20AM, the road is plowed and dry in places. Be careful on the switchbacks.

Parking: the parking lots at 10 K and Ellis are plowed. The service road has been groomed, no track yet. Rocky Point in nice shape with ski track. Several snowshoes on Gravel Pit trail.

Temperature at or near freezing. No wind.
Have fun.
