Kristy’s music is deeply rooted in jazz and improvisation … and morphs from there. Like all the best artists before her, she is stepping ahead with her own style. Drawing from diverse influences like Nina Simone, Mingus, Steely Dan, and Queen, she shapes something entirely unique. Her shows feature her original jazz inflected music mixed with familiar jazz standards — rendered as anything but — and well-loved pop tunes put through her unique stylistic filter. It all comes together in an unforgettable, sonic feast for the ears that has audiences raving.

The Michael-directed film stars Ed Asner, Judge Reinhold and Ruby. Accompanying the screening will be an exclusive exhibit of Michael’s photographs of the Hollywood glitterati spanning from the 1970s to the new millennium.
Michael and Ruby came to New Mexico in 2004 from Los Angeles to assist in the building of our State’s film industry in its infancy. Their efforts paid off in 2006 when they singularly confronted a Round House bill that would have damaged New Mexico’s opportunity to remain at the forefront in film incentives. They succeeded in having the misguided bill quashed and instead of one film company receiving the 25% benefits, all film companies would receive this benefit. Today we see the fruits of their efforts.
Saturday and Sunday Sept 28-29 | 9am-2pm New Mexico Railroad Days at WHEELS Museum
