*
*PROJECT DETAILS:*
On* Thursday 10/10/19*, the Friends of the Sandia Mountains (FOSM) will
head back to work on a reroute in the Cienega/Armijo Trail Improvement
Project (CATIP) for the Sandia Ranger District (SRD).

We will be parking on private property and space is very limited. Please
plan on carpooling to the extent possible. Space in carpools will be
available leaving from the SRD. The hike in to the work site is
approximately 1.5 miles.

Also note that*we cannot trim, limb or cut trees, this includes saplings
anywhere on the Cibola National Forest*. The only trees we can cut are
those that are down across a trail or blocking a road and I emphasize
down.  We cannot cut leaning trees.
*
*
*PLEASE RSVP:*
So we can plan for tools, hard hats, and transportation, please let me
know by email or text 1) *IF* you plan to participate, 2)* IF *you will
need a hard hat, and 3) *IF *you have any questions.

*START TIME:*
For those meeting us at SRD, be at the FOSM shed *ready to
go at 0800.* Bring your own lunch, snacks, liquids, and sunscreen. We
eat lunch at 1130, work until 1330, then hike out.

*REQUIRED ATTIRE: *
The standard USFS trail work PPE requirements apply: *approved hard hat,
eye protection, no open-toed shoes, work gloves, and pants* (no shorts),
no exceptions. An approved hard hat can be provided if
needed. NOTE: short-sleeved shirts are fine for cutting tread but
brushing, including trail obliteration, requires *long sleeves*.

Weather and trail conditions can change quickly. Please watch for last
minute project updates, changes, or cancellation.
