Hello Everyone,
On Wed., Dec. 8, FOSM volunteers will be bucking two large logs in Cienega Picnic Area.
Sawyers and swampers will be bucking a 24-inch log and a 36-inch log in the upper part of Cienega PA at the spring. We will buck the logs into 4-foot long pieces so that the pieces are large enough that no one will steel them. The gate to Cienega PA has not yet been closed. We will buck these pieces to 12-inch lengths and split them in the spring when we will immediately haul the donation wood to the church wood lot. We will be using chain saws. I hope the borrow the USFS saws with 36-inch bars.
Meet at the FOSM Guard Station at 8:30 am on Wednesday, December 8.
Wear long pants, long sleeve shirt, and boots with slip-resistant soles. Bring a jacket, the weather will be cold. Bring lunch, snacks, drinks, hard hat, and eye and ear protection. If you do not have a hard hat, one will be provided.
Please email me, if you have questions.
