Hello Everyone:
Yesterday, November 22, 2021, the FOSM Trails Maintenance Crew hiked 10K North trail to remove two previously reported fallen trees and to do any other work needed. The two reported trees, twelve and fifteen inches in diameter were removed. A third non-reported fallen tree ten inches in diameter was also removed. The crew cut back the ends of a few previously removed trees that were high enough off the ground to possibly present a hazard to users particularly in the winter.
It was a brisk day and it was apparent that autumn is rapidly transitioning to winter in the Sandias. It was good that there was little, if any, breeze.
Yesterday's crew consisted of Byron Garner, Jerry Pekarek, Rav Nicholson, Cleve Sharp, Jamey Browning, Bill Savage and Bob Lowder.
Please see attached Word document for photos and additional narrative. All photos by Jamey Browning, Bill Savage and Cleve Sharp.
Bob L.
