[Volunteers_fosm] trail report

On Mon. 10/25,  the FOSM Trail Crew  hiked Switchback - from Ellis Trail Head - to remove the 5 trees reported by Michael Cox which included Spruce, Fir and Aspen. The Spruce which lay in the trail it's full length required 5 cuts with the crosscut saw. Dave McCreery pre-limbed a few days ahead which greatly simplified the work. We then proceeded on Survey Trail , had lunch and removed the 14" tree reported by Dave Gabel. An additional 10" leaner was also removed.  It was another classic "as good as it gets" fall day much enjoyed by us all. The crew included Jerry Pekarek, Dave McCreery and Byron Garner.   Photo credits:   Michael Cox;  Dave McCreery
