[Volunteers_fosm] Challenge Trail Maintenance, Wed., Sept. 15

Hello Everyone,

On Wednesday, Sept. 15, FOSM volunteers and TTYL crew members will be working on Challenge Trail between 10K S TH and the Ski Area. After leaving a vehicle at Nine Mile PA, one crew will hike down from 10KS TH to Nine Mile PA. If we have enough volunteers, another crew will leave a vehicle at the Ski Area and then hike down from Nine Mile PA to the Ski Area.

The trail maintenance will be pruning branches with a pole saw and loppers, using a power brush cutter to remove brush, cutting logs with chain saws, and nailing blue diamonds on trees.

Wear long pants, long sleeve shirt, and boots with slip-resistant soles. Bring work gloves, lunch, snacks, eye and ear protection, and plenty of water.

Meet at 8 am at the FOSM Guard Station behind the ranger station.
