[Volunteers_fosm] Work on USFS Projects during the Closure

Hello Everyone,

I met with Julie Padilla, SRD Recreation Staff Officer, today, and we discussed projects that FOSM volunteers may work on during the closure. Each project must be approved in advance and be located near a highway in the event that it is necessary for us to evacuate the area. We must let the Ranger District front desk know where we will be working and let them know when we return.

Next week we will have a paint project on Tuesday and a general project on Wednesday. Jenny Blackmore’s trails construction crew will be working on Thursdays.

I will announce a project for Wednesday later this weekend. We will probably be installing picnic table benches (2X12X96 boards) at Pine Flat PA. If you can drive a pickup on Wednesday so that we can haul a dozen 8-foot boards, please let me know. (samgbeard at msn.com<mailto:samgbeard at msn.com>)
