Hello Everyone,
The attached Word document presents photographs taken by Steve Roholt in the Crest Area on Monday, Oct. 24.
Although Joseph Jaffa-Martinez, SRD Trails Foreman, has given us permission to clear the trail corridor for the Challenge Trail Extension, I feel that a higher priority is removing the many down trees on Crest area trails that Steve Roholt reported today.
Meet at the FOSM Guard Station on Wednesday, October 26, at 8 am. Wear warm clothes and slip-resistant boots. Bring snacks, drinks, lunch, hard hat, and eye and ear protection. Steve said that the snow is only a couple of inches deep; therefore, please bring traction devices in case we need them. We will be using chain saws.
We will car pool to the Crest and start work on the Kiwanis Meadow Road.
If you can provide a later report of road and forest conditions, please email me.
