[Volunteers_fosm] FOSM project to remove graffiti and paint gates near Sandia Crest on Tuesday, Aug. 27

Hello Everyone,

On Tues., Aug. 27, FOSM volunteers will be using chemicals to remove a large graffiti tag high on a stone wall on the Crest Nature Trail and painting two steel gates at the large Crest parking lot. Wear "paint" clothes. Nitrile gloves to wear when applying the graffiti removal chemical will be provided.

Meet at the FOSM Guard Station behind the ranger station at 8:30 am. Wear long pants, a long sleeve shirt, and boots with slip-resistant soles. Bring snacks, drinks, lunch, and eye protection. We will plan to arrive at the Crest at about 9 am.

We will be carrying the chemical, small paint brushes, scrub brushes, and rinse water from the parking lot to the graffiti site, a distance of less than a quarter mile.
