[Volunteers_fosm] FOSM project bucking Cienega Picnic Area logs, Wed., Feb. 28

Hello Everyone,

On Wednesday, Feb. 28, FOSM volunteers will continue bucking logs in Cienega PA where 11 trees were felled during the chain saw recertification of FOSM and USFS sawyers recently. Patches of ice and snow remain on the road and in the forest. We will begin bucking the logs at the picnic area across the highway from the lowest restroom and work our way up the road to logs along the Acequia Trail.

Meet at 9 am at the FOSM Guard Station behind the Sandia Ranger Station in Tijeras.

Wear warm long pants, long sleeve shirt, and boots with slip-resistant soles. Bring snacks, drinks, lunch, warm work gloves, hard hat, jacket, and eye and ear protection. We will be using chain saws.
