Hello Everyone,
Recently Canyon Young felled a 32-inch hazard tree near 10K North Trailhead.
On Wednesday, June 26, the FOSM project will be to limb and buck this log into long segments. We cannot completely process this log as donation wood, because our permit to haul donation wood to the church wood lot has expired. If we buck it into 12-inch lengths, there is the possibly that it will be stolen.
Meet at 8 am at the FOSM Guard Station behind the Ranger Station.
Wear long pants, a long sleeve shirt, and boots with slip-resistant soles. Bring a hard hat, work gloves, snacks, lunch, drinks, and eye and ear protection.
Please email me if you know of a project that is "shovel ready" and appropriate for the Wednesday general crew. We have a couple dozen general projects that are waiting for clearance by the USFS or are not ready to start.
