[Volunteers_fosm] Changes in FOSM project, Wed., May 22

Hello All,

Canyon Young, SRD Trails and Wilderness Program Manager, has requested that we fell two hazard trees in Balsam Glade PA tomorrow.


  1.  BSM 24-04 – 18-inch fir tree with large wound at the upper parking lot. We will limb this tree and buck it into pieces that we can move to one side away from the picnic tables, if we do not have any way to haul the wood.


  1.  BSM 24-05 – 15-inch fir with dead top near the lower parking lot. We do not have buck this tree. We can leave it in the forest until we can haul it.

If we have time after we finish at BG PA, we can go to Cienega PA and fell a few hazard trees there.

I will see you at the FOSM Guard Station at 8 am tomorrow.
